"Community Outreach Club, SIT Nagpur held a Poster Making Contest on ‘Cleanliness & Plastic Waste’ under Swachhata Pakhwada, showcasing student creativity."

As part of the 10th year observance of Swachhata Pakhwada (1st–15th September 2025), the Community Outreach Club of SIT Nagpur organized a Poster Making Competition on 12th September 2025. The event aimed to promote awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and sustainable living, in line with the nationwide Swachh Bharat Mission.

The theme of the competition was “Social Awareness, Cleanliness, and Plastic Waste Reduction.” A total of 52 students participated, supported by 10 volunteers, making it a collective effort of 62 active contributors.

Participants showcased their creativity through innovative and thought-provoking posters that addressed critical environmental and social issues such as plastic pollution, waste segregation, hygiene practices, and eco-friendly lifestyles. Each poster served as a visual representation of the participants’ commitment to a cleaner and greener society.

The Poster Making Competition under Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 successfully merged creativity with social responsibility. It provided a meaningful platform for students to express their ideas on cleanliness, sustainability, and waste reduction through art. The event reinforced the importance of individual action in building a cleaner nation and reflected SIT Nagpur’s continued commitment to national initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Overall, the competition was both inspiring and impactful, fostering awareness and a sense of civic duty among all participants.
