Innovation Cell (I-Cell), Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Nagpur, has been established with the objective of practising innovation based on experiential learning to inculcate excellence within Technocrats, Researchers and Inventors (TRI). Thereby developing and fostering a business model based on the latest technology, having innovation and scalability as an essential component with the highest profit and lowest risk. Members of I-Cell are working with the fullest conviction and capacity to align the indomitable minds of SITians with the statement at the top. In addition, it has been envisioned to become a world-class technology-driven innovation centre and provide a universal platform for innovative development for the benefit of budding entrepreneurs, corporate houses & society at large.

Dr. Sudhanshu Maurya

Teacher In-Charge

Dr. Sudhanshu Maurya is Incharge of Innovation Cell. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Nagpur.

He has completed his Post-Doctoral Research at the School of Computer & Communication Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Kangar, Perlis, Malaysia. He is also associated with the Center of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, for research on AI-based Quantum Cryptographic Techniques.

Dr. Maurya has completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science, with a particular focus on the “Security and Privacy aspect of Mobile Cloud Computing.” He acquired M. Tech CSE (Gold Medalist) from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University, Uttarakhand.

His area of research is dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Everything, and Cloud Computing. Currently, he has three international Patents (Granted), 13 Indian patents, two edited books, five-course books, and authored/co-authored 150+ research papers indexed in Web of Science / SCOPUS.

He is also associated with the Centre of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, for research on AI-based Quantum Cryptographic Techniques.

Dr. Shyam Pratap Singh

Teacher In-Charge

As an in charge of I-Cell, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Nagpur. I am trying to develop a true sense of an interdisciplinary, innovative ecosystem powered by experiential learning leading towards a multi-business model.

I have completed my Ph.D. from BIT Mesra, Ranchi, M. E in ECE from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiyala and B. E in E&TC from RGPV, Bhopal.

I have published various research papers in reputed IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley and Taylor’s Francis journals. Apart from numerous SCOPUS papers from international conferences in India and abroad, I supervised 03 PhD scholars (1 awarded & 2 ongoing). Designed and taught “AI-enabled Molecular Nano Communication System” and “Seminar Course Design” apart from teaching various subjects of elite branches such as Introduction to Machine Learning and Deep Learning with Neural Network.

I am a Fellow of IETE, a Member of IEEE and a Member of GISFI, India.
