Melodies Of My Mother Tongue
The Rhythms of Language event was successfully conducted under the NEP SAARTHI Initiative, in collaboration with the Literary Club.
The event aimed to showcase the cultural richness of regional languages through poetry, hymns, and folk songs that reflect devotion, life’s essence, and traditions. A diverse group of 10-15 students was selected, prioritizing South Indian languages, Punjabi, Bengali and others over Marathi/Hindi, to ensure linguistic representation.
Each student recited a poem/song in its original rhythm, followed by an explanation in English or Hindi, helping the audience grasp its meaning and cultural significance. A digital banner with the event title and theme was displayed as the backdrop, enhancing the ambiance. The event fostered a spirit of unity while highlighting the literary beauty of Indian languages, bringing students closer to their cultural roots.

The Rhythms of Language event, themed "Melodies of My Mother Tongue," beautifully highlighted the poetic and musical heritage of India's diverse regional languages.
