"Community Outreach Club, SIT Nagpur held a World Animal Welfare Day session at Satya Sai Vidya Mandir promoting kindness, empathy, and animal care."
The
Community Outreach Club of SIT Nagpur organized an engaging and educational
awareness session at Satya Sai Vidya Mandir on the occasion of World Animal
Welfare Day. Conducted under the guidance of Ms. Sanika Mendjoge, Club
Coordinator, the event aimed to promote kindness, empathy, and awareness about
the importance of animal welfare among school students.
The
session began with a warm welcome followed by an informative presentation
highlighting the need to care for animals and their vital role in maintaining
ecological balance. Students were introduced to simple yet impactful ways of
helping animals — such as feeding strays, providing water for birds, and
avoiding the use of harmful plastics.
A key highlight of the event was the Animal Welfare Pledge, where all participants promised to treat animals with respect, protect them from harm, and spread awareness within their communities. This collective pledge fostered a deep sense of unity, compassion, and moral responsibility among the students.
The World Animal Welfare Day session organized by the Community Outreach Club successfully combined education, empathy, and enjoyment to create a meaningful learning experience for young students. It inspired participants to take small yet impactful steps toward animal care and environmental responsibility. The positive feedback from both students and teachers reflected the success of the initiative in nurturing compassion and awareness, aligning with the club’s mission to promote social and ethical values among the youth.
